MISSION

UCOA'S  mission is to empower the general public, elderly, caregivers (both paid and unpaid), and people suffering with many diseases by providing current, relevant, and easy to understand information on issues that effect the hundreds of thousands of elder caregivers, the ones they care for, and the indigent and sick in America. We are a grass roots organization devoted to increasing the quality of direct care by communicating directly with those who provide it through support, education, training, advocacy, workshops, seminars, video, and audio media such as television, radio, and internet. By empowering the public we will raise the standard of care, increase morale, infuse self-esteem, create a network that will increase the flow of ideas and information relating to elder care matters and much more, and be a clearing house of ideas and major referral and resource center for all health care professionals who are directly and indirectly involved in taking care of our nations elderly.

Through swollen eyes

She cried to me

That they are hurting me

They are scaring me

Why do you leave me here?

I want to leave this place

Why can’t I leave this place?

Through swollen eyes

I could see her begging me

No she was pleading with me

To take her away from here

What should I do?

Looking around this place

My own thoughts of utter disgrace

To leave her in this place

After all she's done for me

Oh damn mother

What have I done?

Your twilight years have just begun

And now you’re coming undone because I've

Done you a discredit

They promised that you'd be cared for

The words in the contract

Swore on this and yet

Here you’re crying to me

Through swollen eyes

And now my hands I’m untying

You know you always have my heart

And from this place we'll part

You’ll suffer no more my mistake

And with soft fingers I'll wipe your eyes

No longer those swollen eyes

And I swear I'll make them pay for this
